More excuses...

Okay, so I had TWO car accidents. TWO! And I know I'm way behind on my blogging, but did I mention that I had TWO CAR CRASHES???!!!

And then, on top of that insane mess, I FINALLY got permission to show you THIS! It's the cover of my book (done by the remarkable Greg Call). MY BOOK< "Up and Down the Scratchy Mountains", coming out next August from Random House.

So really, I can't be expected to blog about other people's books when I have THIS to show you. Right?

Right?

Two car accidents? One is scary enough. I'm glad you're safe. And I think sometimes life gets in the way and we don't have time to blog. That's okay. You're allowed. :)

I *love* the cover of your upcoming book. It's beautiful. And of course, how could you blog about anything else? (laughing)

My, my... that cover has all the elements of a classic. Congratulations, and stay safe.

Which isn't to say I'm not looking forward to your review of The Mysterious Benedict Society. I spotted it on the shelves of a local children's bookshop months ago, but couldn't remember the title when I went back. I spent several return visits scouring the displays muttering, "Hmmm... Some kind of secret society, with a pope's name... Boniface?— no...."

I finally decided its elusiveness was part of its charm— after all, what kind of secret society would be easy to find?

LOL Tempest!

I just had that problem with Octavian whozitcalled...

Thanks, everyone. I'm SO excited I can barely see.

It does look like a classic! We'll most certainly be buying a copy.

It's so exciting!

Truth to tell, in my early 20s, I had two car accidents within a month of each other, but my driving record has been clean since. So now that you've gotten it out of your system, you can relax! :-)

I hope the next month is much better.

Yikes! Two car accidents and a new cover? Perhaps the distraction of the latter precipitated the former?

Love the cover, btw.
